The Farm is a private, invitation-only outdoor retreat on 15 acres in the North Georgia mountains, operated by Parrish Outdoors. It is a sanctuary for anyone who needs true rest and disconnection, built by veterans with special honor for Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders.

Who can visit The Farm?

Anyone who needs true rest: individuals, families, executives and teams, and those who serve, including United States Military Veterans (all eras), Law Enforcement Officers, and First Responders (firefighters, paramedics, EMTs). Access is by invitation only to protect privacy.

Where is The Farm located?

In the North Georgia mountains, in the Southeast United States. The exact location is shared with invited guests to preserve privacy and security. The property spans 15 acres of wilderness with historic cabins dating to the 1890s.

Do I have to give up my phone at The Farm?

We encourage it. The Farm is built around real disconnection: no screens, no feeds, no pings. Wi-Fi is available in cabins on request, but the days are filled with the outdoors, craft, and company instead.

How do I request access to The Farm?

Fill out our online request form with your contact information, your background, and any questions. Our team reviews each request personally and responds within 48-72 hours.

Is The Farm family-friendly?

Yes. Families are welcome, with family-friendly hiking trails, natural springs for swimming, and spacious cabins with multiple bedrooms in a safe, private setting.

What amenities are available at The Farm?

Restored historic cabins with modern comforts (full kitchens, private bathrooms, HVAC), natural spring water features, miles of forest hiking trails, outdoor fire pits, a covered pavilion, and farm-to-table dining. Wellness programs (meditation, massage, wellness consultations) are coming soon.

How much does it cost to stay at The Farm?

Pricing varies by cabin, length of stay, and season. Contact us for current rates and availability. We offer special pricing for extended stays and group bookings, and we work to keep the retreat accessible to those who serve.

What makes The Farm different from other retreats?

The Farm is veteran-owned and operated by Parrish Outdoors, and designed for genuine disconnection and healing: no public guest lists, no social media requirements, and screens left off. The property is historic (1890s), secluded, and confidential.

Can I book The Farm for a group event?

Yes. We host corporate retreats, leadership offsites, and team building, along with group retreats for veteran organizations, law enforcement agencies, and first responder teams. Groups can book the entire property. Contact us with your group size and dates.

What is the cancellation policy?

Policies vary by booking type and season; generally, 14 days notice earns a full refund. Emergency cancellations for active duty or first responder call-outs are handled case by case. Details are provided at booking.

Are pets allowed at The Farm?

Service animals are always welcome. Policies for other pets vary by cabin and season; please ask when you request access.

What outdoor activities are available?

Hiking on property trails and the North Georgia trail system, swimming in natural spring water, fishing, wildlife viewing, guided nature walks, bonfires, and stargazing.

Is the property accessible year-round?

Yes. Spring brings wildflowers, summer means creek days, fall delivers foliage, and winter offers quiet. All cabins have heating and air conditioning.

Do you offer guided experiences or programs?

Yes. Guided hiking tours, nature education walks, wilderness skills workshops, and art sessions, plus veteran-focused group activities. Wellness programming (yoga and meditation) is coming soon.

What is the best time to visit The Farm?

Every season has its draw. Spring and fall bring mild weather and color; summer is best for the water; winter is quietest. Book 2-3 months ahead for peak seasons (April-May, October-November).

What is there to do near The Farm?

The North Georgia mountains around Blue Ridge and Ellijay offer waterfalls like Amicalola Falls, the Appalachian Trail at Springer Mountain, trout fishing on the Toccoa and Cartecay rivers, apple orchards, Carters Lake, mountain-town dining, and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Can you ride a train to Tennessee near The Farm?

Yes. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway departs from the 1905 depot in downtown Blue Ridge, GA and follows the Toccoa River to the twin border towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. Riders browse the shops, have lunch, and return through the mountains. Seasonal rides sell out, so book ahead; we help guests plan it around their stay.

Is there fly fishing near The Farm?

Yes. North Georgia trout water is close by: the Toccoa River tailwater and delayed-harvest stretch, the Cartecay River, wild-trout Noontootla Creek, and Cooper Creek. We build and self-host FlySOURCE, a fly fishing web app for the Southeast with real-time stream conditions and catch reports, and we offer guided fly fishing trips across the region.

Does Parrish Outdoors offer guided fly fishing trips?

Yes. We offer professional guided fly fishing across the Southeast United States: the Toccoa River tailwater and delayed-harvest stretch, the Cartecay River, wild-trout Noontootla Creek, Cooper Creek, and beyond. Trips can be planned around a stay at The Farm; contact us to book a guide.

What is FlySOURCE?

FlySOURCE (flysource.org) is a fly fishing web application for the Southeast United States that we build and self-host. It provides real-time stream conditions, weather alerts, and a community platform for sharing catch reports and fly patterns. Guests use it to check the water before a morning on the river.

Does The Farm offer digital detox retreats?

Yes, disconnection is the heart of The Farm. We encourage guests to leave screens off and fill the days with the outdoors, wilderness skills, art, fire and fellowship, and stillness instead. Wi-Fi is available in cabins on request, but most guests find they do not want it.

Is The Farm listed on Airbnb or VRBO?

No. The Farm is not on Airbnb, VRBO, or any public vacation rental platform. We are invitation-only to preserve confidentiality. Submit a request through our access form and we respond within 48-72 hours.
